HeY there.
I’m Jacqueline.
Fantasy/spec fic author. MFA grad student. Glitter-wielding aunt. Night owl. Worldbuilder of messy gods, fierce heroines, and magic that always comes with a price.
I write stories where transformation isn’t just magical—it’s personal. My characters are stubborn, complicated, wounded, and trying to make sense of a world that doesn’t always make room for them. I love slow burns, dangerous deals, morally gray love interests, and that moment when a character finally stops running from their own power.

My Origin Story (Minus the Chosen One Trope)
I grew up near the gray horizon of Lake Huron—stormy skies, well-loved library novels, and a brain always halfway inside another world. Before I ever wrote a book, I spent more than a decade in marketing communications and PR, ghostwriting for executives and shaping stories for brands with 50+ million media impressions. Storytelling has always been my thing; I just finally permitted myself to tell the ones I want to. Now I’m earning my MFA, writing my debut novel, and leaning into narratives shaped by identity, longing, transformation, and revolutions.
A few fun details because why not

-
I write best if I’m anywhere but at my desk. Editing, though? Glued to it.
-
My pets act as tiny chaotic sidekicks with zero boundaries
-
I will cry at fictional redemption arcs like it’s a competitive sport
-
I believe magic should leave marks—and characters should too
What I Write
Dark, emotional romantasy full of identity, transformation, tension, and the messy fight between fate and free will. If you love flawed heroines, slow-burn romance, divine politics, and worlds held together by secrets and hope, you’re in the right place. Of course, I have to sprinkle my humor in there somewhere, too.
